Ahmet ÇevikI am an Associate Professor of logic and foundations of mathematics, working in both mathematical and philosophical domains. I have earned my PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Leeds in 2014. I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley in 2015-2016. I visited UCLA in Summer 2019 for research. I have lectured in the Philosophy Department, Mathematics Department and Computer Engineering Department at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara. I have been affiliated with the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy, in Ankara, since 2018. My research interests, with no particular order, are as follows:
- Mathematical logic, recursion theory (degrees of unsolvability and effectively closed sets)
- Philosophy of mathematics and logic
- Theoretical computer science
